Now that we are halfway through 2020, July is promising to be a "wild" month filled with new listings, a new YouTube Channel and debuting our presence on TikTok. Costa Rica's borders are still under a lockdown. So many of you that want to come and visit us are unable to (at the moment). We know this is frustrating and you cannot wait to get your feet in the Costa Rican sand, hike some amazing rain forest, go sport fishing or catch some amazing waves. And we cannot wait for you to get here!! As of today, the borders are scheduled to reopen for countries that have COVID under control, on August 1st, 2020 (but we believe this date will go under review again). Yesterday (Saturday July 11th), our county of Garabito, went under lockdown again. Our driving restrictions were prolonged until July 19th, and once per week, we can drive to the grocery stores, pharmacies, car repair shops and restaurants (for takeaway and delivery only) or for medical reasons. But not to worry, we can get around the rest of the days via taxi or Uber. The county of Garabito currently has 4 active cases (and 25 total since the start of the virus here in CR) but because Jaco is THE main tourist town of Costa Rica, they want to make sure we do not get an influx of in-country tourists that flock to our beautiful beaches and might bring the virus with them. As you can imagine, this is very difficult for our town as we are 99% tourist driven, but together we are strong and will get through this. We are here for you with virtual tours, video walkthroughs, zoom conference calls, WhatsApp calls or texts, emails, phone calls.... whatever works best for you!
